Tina Lutz and Susan Beucke of Germany extended their lead in the European 49erFX Championship after a consistent day of racing in Austria.

Participants returned to Lake Attersee after yesterday's entire race schedule was called off due to a lack of wind. 

Despite the break in action, Lutz and Beucke remained the team to beat in the 49erFX discipline. 

They triumphed in two races and finished second in another to top the standings with a net total of six points.

Their closest competitors are Helene Næess and Marie Rønningen of Norway, who recorded results of first, third and fifth to sit on 11.0. 

Julia Gross and Hanna Klinga of Sweden are further back with 20.0 after coming eighth, third and fifth.

Croatian brothers Šime and Mihovil Fantela also enjoyed another successful day of racing in the 49er competition. 

The 2018 world champions won twice and finished third to end the day on a net total of nine points. 

Dutch crew Bart Lambriex and Pim van Vugt took first, third and second place finishes to sit second on 12.0, while Uberti Crivelli Visconti and Leonardo Chistè are just behind them on 14.0.

The Italian pair came second twice and fourth in today's races.

Four races were completed in the Nacra 17, with Argentina’s Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza Saroli in the lead.

They triumphed twice, finished seventh and had a 15th placing discarded to result in a net total of 23.0.

John Gimson and Anna Burnet of Britain had a consistent day of racing, with two second place finishes, a fifth and an eighth to put them on 34.0. 

Italy's Vittorio Bissaro and Maelle Frascari are in third on 38.0 after coming fifth, sixth and fourth and discarding a 19th-place result.

Competition is scheduled to continue in all three disciplines tomorrow.
