Nour El Tayeb of Egypt booked her place in the women's final at the Professional Squash Association World Tour Finals after she fought back from a game down to upset world champion Nour El Sherbini in Cairo.

El Tayeb, the world number four, will face compatriot Hania El Hammamy in the final after beating top seed El Sherbini 5-11, 11-6, 11-3 at the Mall of Arabia.

El Hammamy reached the showpiece match at the season finale after she battled to a marathon 18-20, 11-8, 11-2 victory over New Zealand's Joelle King.

The men's final will also be an all-Egyptian affair between Marwan ElShorbagy and Karim Abdel Gawad.

Elshorbagy, seeded fifth, ended team mate and world number two Ali Farag's bid for the World Tour Finals crown with an 11-9, 7-11, 12-10 triumph, while Gawad defeated semi-final debutant Joel Makin of Wales 11-9, 11-8.

Both finals are scheduled to take place on the last day of the event tomorrow.

"Ali is the toughest player to beat on the PSA World Tour by far," said Elshorbagy.

"It was such a tough match and I’m so happy with the win – hopefully just one more tomorrow.

"Being lucky is a part of the process, it could have gone either way but I’ve trained really hard over the summer to get back to where I was so results like this don’t surprise me anymore.

"Even if I win tomorrow, being realistic I know that my brother [Mohamed ElShorbagy] is not here.

"He’s the current No.1 and the best player in the world, even if I win tomorrow, I know I still have a lot of work to do and he is the player to beat.

"No matter who wins tomorrow, we know we have a lot of work to do."
