Having won all four contests so far this season, Russian Maxim Burov will be looking to win his fifth straight event in the men's aerials International Ski Federation Freestyle World Cup at the next leg in Le Relais in Canada.

Burov looks in prime position to take the aerials title this season, with a fifth win giving him a buffer of at least two victories-worth of points, with four more events to go.

He was victorious in all four legs in Ruka last month, though young Swiss skiers Noé Roth and Pirmin Werner could pose a challenge.

Both 21-year-olds will look to topple the defending World Cup champion, but Burov, who is also the world champion and a victor in 14 events, has been dominant since the return from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jia Zongyang and Qi Guangpu have also made the podium this season prior to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, where they will be looking to compete on home soil in China.

In the women's event, Kong Fanyu and Xu Mengtao hold hopes for China, having won the first two events in Ruka.

Xu's win gave her a record 26th Freestyle Ski World Cup victory, making her a favourite again tomorrow.

Ukraine's Anastasiya Novosad and Danielle Scott of Australia were both victorious on the second weekend in Finland, but Scott's team-mate Laura Peel will have a strong chance of becoming the fifth unique winner from five events, having finished second in the last leg.

Xu and Kong are first and second in the standings so far this season.
