FIFA and the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) have agreed a partnership in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup, to market commercial opportunities for both the tournament and CONCACAF competitions together.

The CONCACAF W Gold Cup, an international women’s football tournament due to take place in the United States in February and March 2024 is one of the tournaments that is being marketed alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The next two editions of the CONCACAF Nations League Finals, covering the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons, an international men’s football tournament, is also being marketed alongside the next FIFA World Cup.

The next two editions of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2023 and 2025, a separate men’s football tournament that determines the continental champion, is the third CONCACAF tournament marketed alongside the 2026 World Cup, which is due to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

It is set to be the first edition to be hosted by three countries, with 48 teams set to play 104 games.

"The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be unique in terms of the impact it’ll have not only on the host countries, but also on the entire CONCACAF region and the whole world," said FIFA’s chief business officer Romy Gai.

"This collaboration between FIFA and CONCACAF will enrich the thrilling journey for North American fans, local communities and for football even further - as we build towards the FIFA World Cup 2026, the greatest show on earth."

The first FIFA and CONCACAF Upfront event, designed to give interested brands and companies more information about the partnership opportunities, is taking place today in Las Vegas alongside the start of the CONCACAF Nations League Finals.
