France, Spain, Hungary and Belgium secured the first four quarter-final places following the initial group phase, with four more spots available following the qualification to the quarter-final fixtures, played in Israel and Slovenia.

In the second of the matches played at the Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, Serbia beat Britain 66-60 in a contest where defences were largely on top.

Serbia were nearly made to pay for 14 misses on free throws, however they got the victory, helped by 16 points from Jovana Nogic.

The closest of the four matches was the first of a double bill of fixtures played at the Tel Aviv Arena in Tel Aviv, with Czech Republic edging past Greece 79-76.

The Czech Republic bench contributed 41 points, while Czech Republic guard Petra Holesinska finished with 19 points and eight assists.

In the second game of the day, Montenegro comfortably beat Italy 63-49 to book their place in the quarter-finals for a third time.

Milica Jovanovic impressed with 17 points and eight boards, while Marija Lekovic finished with 15 points.

Elsewhere in Ljubljana Germany overcame Slovakia 79-69.

Marie Guelich was the standout player for Germany registering 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

The line-up has now been completed for the quarter-finals with Hungary facing Czech Republic, Spain taking on Germany, France up against Montenegro and Belgium playing Serbia.

The quarter-finals are due to be held in Ljubljana on Thursday (June 22).
