In the girls race, victory went to Grossmann in 48min 46sec, with silver going to Lise Revol of France in 48:48 and bronze won by Tereza Marusa Serkezi of Slovenia in 50:19.

The boys race title was won by Bazant in 54:53, with silver going to Elias Hueckmann of Germany in 55:26, and bronze to Austrian Valentin Hofer in 55:59.

The 400 metres were among the athletics finals as action continued at the Poljane Athletics Stadium.

In the girls race Anastazja Kus of Poland took victory in 53.21sec.

Silver went to Turkey’s Edanur Tulum in 53.32, with bronze going to Norwegian Safaa Line Al-Saiddi in 53.60.

Gold in the boys race over the same distance went to Ondrej Loupal of the Czech Republic in 47.07.

Italian Simone Giliberto won silver in 47.55, with the bronze medal going to Daniel Isaias Artigas of Spain in 47.86.

There was also double athletics gold for Norway, on the track thanks to Kristian Braathen Boerve, who won the boys 1500 metres in 3min 52.37sec, and in the field through Helene Mariel Ramslien with a throw of 49.16 metres to win the girls discus throw.

Artistic gymnastics competition also continued today, with Italy taking the girls team final title with a total of 104.850.

Germany claimed silver with 104.050 points, with Britain completing the podium with 100.400 points.

In the girls individual all-around final Germany’s Helen Kevric took gold with 53.900 points, with silver going to Italian Sara Caputo in 52.350.

There was a tie for bronze after both Italian Emma Fioravanti and Britain’s Ema Grace Kandalova finished third in 50.400.

Swimming finals also continued today including the girls and boys 4x100 metres freestyle relays.

Britain won the girls race in 3:49.78, with silver going jointly to Italy and Finland after they both finished in 3:49.88.

Italy won gold in the boys race in 3:24.94, with Norway claiming silver in 3:25.78, and the podium completed by France with 3:26.59.

Competition also continued today in 3x3 basketball, handball, judo, tennis and volleyball, while skateboarding also made its EYOF debut with street event qualifications taking place.

In the overall medals table, Italy have a healthy lead at the top of the standings with a tally of six golds, nine silvers and seven bronzes, and a total of 22.

Germany and Britain come next in terms of total medals, with 12 each, while Czech Republic are in second in the standings with four golds and a total of six.

Medals are due to be won tomorrow in athletics, road cycling, artistic gymnastics, judo, skateboarding and swimming.
