In the men's tournament, the US went unbeaten through their seven matches, and proved too strong for Israel with a 21-3 victory in the final.

Trey McGowens III contributed 10 points in the gold medal match and 54 throughout the tournament to win the most valuable player (MVP) award.

The US had led Pool D with a 21-12 win against Japan, 21-16 victory over Italy, 21-11 triumph against Egypt and 21-16 success against Lithuania.

They overcame Romania 21-13 in the quarter-finals, then Germany 21-10 in the semi-finals, before beating Israel.

Germany recovered to take bronze 22-14 against France.

McGowens III was joined by Israel’s Omer Sadeh and Germany’s Leon Fertig in the team of the tournament.

In the women's tournament, The Netherlands built on their bronze in Romania's capital Bucharest at last year's FIBA 3x3 Under-23 World Cup by taking gold 19-17 in overtime against hosts Poland.

Zoë Slagter's 55 points for the Dutch throughout the tournament earned her the MVP award, and she was joined in the team of the tournament by Aleksandra Ziemborska of Poland and Lithuania's Eglė Zabotkaitė.

The Netherlands started their World Cup campaign with a 22-5 thrashing of Kenya in Pool A, followed by a 19-14 win against Austria.

A 21-15 defeat to China was their only defeat of the tournament, but was followed by a 21-19 victory against the US to seal passage to the quarter-finals, where they beat Hungary 16-12.

The semi-finals also required overtime for The Netherlands as they edged past Lithuania 21-20.

Lithuania earned the bronze medal 19-12 against China.
