The hat-trick of successes remarkably included four quadruplet siblings all tasting victory on the same morning during a party atmosphere at Laguna Grande.

Antonia Liewald and Isidora Niemeyer got things started for Chile by crossing the line to win the women's lightweight double sculls final in 7min 11.70sec.

Chile then claimed the women's four title in 6:40.83 as Victoria Hostetter and Magdalena Nanning clinched victory by more than three seconds alongside sisters Antonia and Melita Abraham.

Ignacio and Alfredo Abraham, completing the 26-year-old quadruplets with Antonia and Melita, then won the men's four with Nahuel Reyes and Marcelo Poo in 5:58.18, after pipping Cuba at the finish by less than a second.

"The race was spectacular," said Ignacio Abraham. 

"From the beginning, we got ahead. 

"It was what we had to do and it went just as we planned. 

"We held the other team in the middle until the end, knowing that if we got to the end with them we would have more explosiveness. 

"We were going for gold and we got it."

Chile had only won two golds in all of the sports before the amazing session of rowing.

Reyes paid tribute to his mother who died in a motor accident in 2016 while representing Chile at the South American Masters Rowing Championship in Argentina.

"My mother was from this region, and everyone here knows her," Reyes, only 13 at the time of the accident, said.

"I got involved in this sport because of her, so I dedicate this to her. 

"It's very special for me to achieve things in the sport she instilled in me."

Miguel Ángel Carballo and Alexis López of Mexico won the men's lightweight double sculls final in 6:22.94 and Canada won the women's eight in 6:10.70.

In water ski action at Los Morros Lagoon, Regina Jaquess won her third gold for the United States as she added the women's overall title to her jump and slalom crowns.

Dorien Llewellyn of Canada won the men's overall title and Kai Ditsch of Argentina claimed men's wakeboard gold.

There was also a third gold medal of the Games for Mexican diver Osmar Olvera, winner of the men's synchronised three metre springboard final with Rodrigo Diego.

Olvera had already won individual crowns in the 1 metre and 3m springboard and tallied 425.46 points with Diego for his latest success.

Canada's Pamela Ware won her second gold of the Games by winning the women's 3m springboard with 342.75, points adding to her 1m title.

The first track cycling medals were awarded at the velodrome with Canada winning the men's team sprint and Mexico the women's.

Peru's Hugo Ruiz took men's omnium gold.

In artistic gymnastics, men's all-around champion Félix Dolci of Canada claimed the floor title at the Training Center for Collective Sport with a score of 14.233 points.

Brazil's Olympic vault champion Rebeca Andrade added the Pan American Games title on the same piece of equipment by tallying 14.983 points.

"I feel very happy, I did everything I prepared for, even after a competition as important as the World Championships, to arrive here and present myself the way I presented myself," said Andrade.

American team gold medallists Zoe Miller and Donnell Whittenburg both doubled up with individual titles.

Miller won the women's uneven bars on 14.666 points and Whittenburg took home the men's rings gold on 14.200.

Canada's Zachary Clay won the men's pommel horse title with 14.400 points.

In shooting, Mexico's Alejandra Zavala struck down a Games record 29 targets to win the women's 25m pistol final at Polígono de tiro de Pudahuel.

Natalie Grossman assured the US of a clean sweep of the climbing gold medals as she won the women's boulder and lead final at Cerrillos Park.

In taekwondo, team titles were decided at the Contact Sports Center with the men's gold going to the Dominican Republic and Brazil clinching the women's title.
