The Argentine Olympic Committee has launched the 11th edition of the Advanced Course in Sports Management. This is the seventh time that the Argentine delegation has participated in the course.

The Advanced Course in Sports Management is a nine-month training programme that includes face-to-face sessions and real-life case studies. It covers topics such as the management of sports organisations, human resources, financial management, marketing management, sports event organisation and others. The aim is to train professionals to become sport leaders.

For the seventh consecutive year, the Argentine Federation of University Sports (FeDUA) participated. This training is supported by Olympic Solidarity and aims to empower the staff of sports organisations to maximise resources and effectively manage events and individuals for overall growth.

In the presence of AOC President Mario Moccia, AOC Secretary General Víctor Sergio Groupierre, AOC Treasurer Carlos Ferrea, AOC Training Director Silvia Dalotto and FeDUA President and AOC Advisor Emiliano Ojea, the new 2024 students were welcomed, including Fernando Villalba and Martina Alexandre as FeDUA representatives.

"This course is offered by the Argentine Olympic Committee, the country's main institution for training sports leaders. During the course, they will develop projects that can be implemented later and create national links that will allow for a large network to promote the growth of Argentine sports," said Emiliano Ojea, Vice President of the AOC Education Commission and Olympic Academy, as reported by the official FeDUA page.

During one of the events held to celebrate the course, diplomas were awarded to participants from the previous edition: Pablo Pascualini (UNDEF), Teresa Di Cianni (UNTREF) and Luciana Martínez (UNDAV), who represented the Federation and successfully completed their final projects.

The FeDUA sees its structure and operational strategy enriched by the participation in this course, as for its representatives, the acquisition of this training will allow them to generate new tools for the growth of Argentinean sport throughout the country, in addition to quality management.
