#WhiteCard for Development and Peace through ITF Taekwon-Do. ITFTKD

As in the previous years, on the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) on 6 April, the International Taekwon-Do Federation invites all its members to participate in the #WhiteCard campaign proposed by Peace and Sport.

The ITF Constitution states that Taekwon-Do can be seen as a martial art, a way of life, as a sport and as a tool for social development. The aim is for all ITF events to truly convey the values of Taekwon-Do through attitudes and behaviours that promote dialogue and respect across borders.

In every gym and club around the world, every member of ITF Taekwon-Do is also regularly reminded of its responsibility and commitment to the values promoted by #WhiteCard: "I will build a more peaceful world" is part of the Taekwon-Do oath recited before every Taekwon-Do class.

In this way, the idea of being part of a movement that promotes harmony in the world is institutionally embraced and it is encouraged to demonstrate with the symbol of a white card as a sign of commitment to efforts for universal peace.

From anywhere in the world and as part of a class, event or tournament, ITF members publish and share their photos showing a white card as a clear symbol of the promotion of peace over any form of punishment.
