"This is not a one-man show, it takes a team to ensure that the Federation has a great future. I am sure that by continuing to work together with the various stakeholders, we will achieve our goals and ensure a better future for the sport," stressed the Swede, who takes over from new Vice President Stein Pedersen.

Following the FIB Congress, the new FIB Executive Committee (EC) held its first meeting where the members discussed the main areas of focus for the near future. The FIB EC agreed on its next meeting and discussed pressing issues such as next year's World Championships.
