The Hospitality Business School - Lausanne (EHL), widely regarded as one of the best higher education institutions in the world for hospitality management, held a ceremony to celebrate the school's successful fulfilment of 98 out of 100 criteria set by the FISU Healthy Campus programme.

The ceremony took place in one of the school's outdoor areas and was attended by around 40 staff members involved in the process. Fernando Parente and Ivo Carvalhosa from the International University Sports Federation (FISU), Noémie Danthine, Chief Sustainability Hospitality Services Officer, and Mélanie Chibani, Health & Wellness Coordinator, highlighted the efforts made to achieve the FISU Healthy Campus Platinum Certification.

The EHL campus is a testament to student involvement and visionary design. In 2013, a call for proposals attracted over 385 students from nine schools of architecture and landscape design worldwide to submit their concepts for the new campus. Of these, 20 students and their professors were selected to visit Switzerland, engage with EHL students, and refine their designs based on the students' expectations and aspirations.

The redeveloped campus now covers 80,000m², a significant increase from the previous 25,000m². It has nearly 1,000 beds for on-site student accommodation and 12 food outlets, including a high-end brasserie and a vegan restaurant, some of which are open to the public.

Following the principle of "a healthy mind in a healthy body", the school offers first-class sports facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, a wellness area with a sauna and cold bath, a multi-purpose sports hall, pétanque, tennis and beach volleyball courts, and a 2-kilometre running track around the school.
