The Paris 2024 Organising Committee has reached the symbolic milestone of allocating or selling one million tickets for the Paralympic Games to be held in the French capital from 28 August to 8 September.

The Paralympic box office opened on 9 October on the 'tickets.paris2024.org' website with 2.8 million tickets on sale and reached the one million mark on Wednesday. But that is just over a third of the 2.8 million tickets available for the 28 August - 8 September Paralympic Games.

In the 100-day countdown to the opening of the Paralympic Games, Paris 2024 and French athletes launched a social appeal on 20 May to boost ticket sales as part of the "I miss nothing but you" campaign. Nearly 550,000 tickets, priced at 25 euros or less, are still available.

Tickets are available for all sports from €15, including athletics at the Stade de France, wheelchair tennis at Roland Garros, football for the blind at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, swimming at La Défense Arena and track cycling at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome.

A number of sold-out events are also back on sale, including wheelchair fencing in the magnificent setting of the Grand Palais. As at the Olympic Games, special places will be reserved for people with special needs. Triathlon (Pont Alexandre III), equestrian (Palais de Versailles) and shooting (Chateauroux National Shooting Centre) are all sold out.
