Rio_2016_facebook_applicationJanuary 31 - Rio 2016 today launched a new Facebook application designed to help supporters around the world get involved in its preparations for the Olympics and Paralympics.

Claiming that "ideal, goal, focus, determination and achievement are the steps the athletes have to climb till the Olympic podium" the new application - "Goal Track" - allows anyone to be "part of this history".

People are invited to set a series of goals and win medals for each victory.

When they achieve 50 per cent of your goal, they win the bronze medal, 75 per cent of their goal, the silver and completing 100 per cent of their goal leads you to the gold

The goals can be shared with their friends, and you can view the goals they share.

The performance will be measured in a ranking of friends, which can be viewed on the tab "Ranking of friends".
