We should be congratulated not sacked claims Kalmadi

May 31 - India's Government should be congratulating the country's sports administrators on staging the Commonwealth Games not trying to force them out of office, the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Suresh Kalmadi (pictured) has claimed.











Commonwealth Games will be safe but still concerns over whether Delhi will be ready in time

May 5 - New Delhi has been praised for its progress it has made getting ready for this year's Commonwealth Games but warned that several projects, including the Athletes Village, still pose a "substantial" challenge to the biggest to be held in India for nearly 30 years and seen as the launchpad for a potential bid to host the 2020 Olympics.
