France Fighting Roosters thrashed the Croatian Knights 5-0 to stay top of Group B at the World Series of Boxing in Paris today.

The French side were far too strong for their opponents in the all-European group to the delight of the home crowd at the Salle Wagram.

Benaicha Abdelhafid began the night with a victory over Istvan Szaka in their under-52 kilogram bout.

Anas Messaoudi then beat Mate Rudan at under-69kg before Bakary Diabara overcame Bojan Miskovic at under-81kg.

Reigning world champion and Olympic silver medallist Sofiane Oumiha then opened up a 4-0 lead.

He proved far too strong for Matteo Komadina at under-60kg.

Mihai Nistor completed the whitewash by beating Ante Verunica at under-91kg.

It means the Fighting Roosters overtake the British Lionhearts at the top of the group.

The Lionhearts won 4-1 away against the Italia Thunder in Milan yesterday.

The two group leaders are due to meet in Newport on April 14.
