Chinese Taipei and hosts South Korea landed gold medals on the final day of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Challenge to cap an impressive performance in Muju.

Yun Ci Pan of Chinese Taipei captured the women’s over-67 kilograms title before South Korea’s Park Chan-hau clinched the men’s over-80kg crown at the T1 Arena in the South Korean city.

Chinese Taipei won three golds over the opening two days and ensured they finished with four courtesy of Yun’s success.

Facing home fighter Kwon Mi-seo in the final, Pan stamped her authority on the contest to take the first round 12-3.

Kwon responded to win the second round before Pan hit back to secure the decider 7-5.

The bronze medal was won by South Korea’s Oh Seug-ju who defeated compatriot Kim Ga-yoon in the third-place match.

It was another all-South Korean tussle in the final of the men’s over-80kg division as Park went up against Hyun Jim-in.

There was little between them in the first round as both fighters failed to score before Park was awarded it after being judged to have landed more shots.

Park upped the ante in the second round, making the most of his longer reach to pick off Hyun and take it 12-2.

Lee Dong-ju was awarded the bronze medal to ensure another one-two-three for South Korea at the event after refugee athlete Mohammad Emami withdrew.
