The official schedule for the highly anticipated 3x3 Basketball Olympic Games is now available. 3x3 will return to the Games for the second time at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games from 30 July to 5 August 2024 at the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

The world's best 3x3 players will compete in eight men's and eight women's teams over seven days of exciting competition. Held at the iconic Place de la Concorde in the heart of Paris, 3x3 players will showcase their talents against a backdrop of some of Paris' most iconic landmarks, including the Grand Palais, the Champs-Élysées and the Louvre.

While COVID-19 restrictions prevented fans from attending the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, spectators in Paris will be able to fully experience the excitement of 3x3 basketball at the Games and play a central role in creating an unforgettable festival atmosphere.

The 3x3 competition will feature eight men's and eight women's teams. Each team will play against each other before a play-in for teams ranked 3-6, with the top two teams advancing directly to the semi-finals. Teams 7 and 8 in both pools will be eliminated.

The top two teams will go through to the semi-finals, while the 7th and 8th placed teams will be eliminated. The remaining six teams will compete in the play-in, with the semi-finals and medal matches all taking place on the final day of the competition, 5 August.

The 3x3 competition will share the vibrant Place de la Concorde with skateboarding, BMX freestyle and breaking, promising an electrifying urban atmosphere for players and spectators alike. The 4,700-seat open-air arena will be the stage for world-class sport and passionate fans.

On 9 June, 2017, 3x3 was added to the Olympic program, debuting at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The first official 3x3 event was held in 2010 at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. It took just seven years for the sport to make the leap from the streets to the Olympic Games.
