There were more than 100 working sessions carried out by the 25 World Para Snow Sports Working Groups, which started on May 20 with the final day of sessions coming on May 28.

Para-Alpine skiing was the first event to have a specific discussion with 90 in attendance, followed by Para-Nordic skiing on May 25 with 80 participants and Para-Snowboard on May 26 with 70.

The combined meeting, led by head of World Para Snow Sports Dimitrije Lazarovski, had 120 participants and was held on May 28.

Lazarovski showed there were improvements in results in the 2019-20 season compared to the previous one and updated member nations about the status of the 2021 World Para Snow Sports Championships in Lillehammer and the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics.

Representatives from both events, the head of the Lillehammer 2021 Organising Committee Ola Keul and Beijing 2022's Mu Yong made presentations.

Information about the International Paralympic Committee governance restructure was also featured.

Kristine Dalton of the University of Waterloo in Canada presented her five-year research of visually impaired athletes in Para-Alpine skiing and Para-Nordic skiing.

Lazarovski said: "I would like to thank all our members for coming together during four days to discuss the present and future of the Para Snow Sports.

"We were looking forward to meeting them in person during our Sports Forum but we had to adapt to the unprecedented circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

"But nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our athletes and sport community. 

"We continue our work and co-operation with Organising Committees and health authorities to make sure next season can go ahead as planned."

World Para Snow Sports also announced the dates of the next Sports Forum, to be held in Portoroz in Slovenia from May 28 to 31.

The next Nations Meeting is set to take place in Zurich in Switzerland on October 1.
