The 14-year-old, who is coached by her mum and the head coach of the Polish national gymnastics team Krystyna Leśkiewicz-Lewińska, who herself competed at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, has impressed in major junior competitions but was competing at a World Championships for the first time at the BT Arena.

Lewińska’s first gold came in the clubs category, with a score of 30.950, as she performed to Gaston from The Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.

Silver went to Ukraine’s Taisiia Onofriichuk with 29.750, with bronze going to Rin Keys of the United States on 29.400.

Lewińska then followed her clubs success with a tight victory in the ribbon discipline, winning with a score of 29.600.

Silver went to Bulgaria’s Nikol Todorova with 29.400, with the podium completed by Mishel Nesterova of Uzbekistan with 28.950.

In the ball, victory went to Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva, who finished with a score of 32.100.

Germany’s Lada Pusch took silver with 30.800, while Israel’s Regina Polishchuk claimed bronze on 30.350.

There was almost a home victory in the hoop, however Alona Tol Franco of Israel had other ideas with the 14-year-old triumphing with 31.600.

Romania’s Amalia Lica had to settle for silver with her score of 30.900, with Anastasiya Sarantseva of Uzbekistan completing the podium with 30.850.

In the team all-around final, Bulgaria’s line-up of Eva Emilova, Vanesa Emilova, Andrea Ivanova, Krasimira Ivanova, Gabriela Peeva and Tsveteyoana Peycheva scored the highest total of 62.050 for the five ropes and five balls which earned them group all-around gold.

The efforts of individual gymnasts Krasnobaeva and Nikol Todorova contributed towards Bulgaria’s team all-around total.

Israel took team all-around silver with 61.900, with bronze going to Azerbaijan with 59.400.

Israel claimed both group titles available in the five ropes and five balls disciplines, courtesy of their team of Shelly Elguy, Elinor Gerts, Kseniya Kulyk, Yuval Schulman, Anat Shnaider and Meital Maayan Sumkin.

In the five ropes Israel triumphed with 30.750, with silver going to Bulgaria with 30.250 and bronze won by Azerbaijan with 29.000.

In the five balls Israel enjoyed a higher winning score of 32.250, with Bulgaria claiming silver on 30.600 and bronze again going to Azerbaijan with 30.150.

Bulgaria finished top of the overall medals table with three golds and three silvers, with Israel in second on three golds, two silvers and one bronze.

The competition was open to gymnasts born between 2008 and 2010.
