World number one Ali Farag will face fellow Egyptian Fares Dessouky in the final as he bids for a third successive Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title at the CIB Men's Black Ball Open in Cairo.

In a thrilling semi-final match, Dessouky beat compatriot and second seed Tarek Momen in five games to secure a place in his biggest PSA final to date.

Momen edged the first game 11-9 before Dessouky battled back to take the next two 11-5, 11-7 to take a 2-1 lead.

Momen convincingly won game four 11-1 to take the contest all the way but world number 11 Dessouky held his nerve to take the decider 11-7 and earn his first win over Momen in four attempts in 75 minutes.

Dessouky will face a tough fight if he is to take the title as standing in his way in the final of the PSA World Tour Gold event is top seed and world number one Ali Farag.

Farag was up against Mostafa Asal, the world number 14, in the last four.

Asal has claimed some notable scalps during an impressive run this week but never looked likely to add Farag to that list, with the top seed producing a polished display to win in straight games - 11-8, 11-5, 11-5 in 39 minutes.

If Farag wins the Black Ball Open it will mean he wins three successive PSA World Tour events, after victories at the Qatar Classic in November and the Egyptian Open in October.

Farag and Dessouky will face off in the final on the Glass Court in Cairo tomorrow, with the contest scheduled to get underway at 9pm local time.
